If the flap was not worn I'd for sure do the 20¢ repair but that also required the pin to be in reasonable shape (but a little worn hole is accounted for in my fix).

Like Andrew stated expect to have the problem show up again. Me I still would have gone to the Pick N Pull and bought a Genuine BMW DISA valve. If you have a decent Pick N Pull you can find several DISA valve and pick the best one for $10 bucks.
