I am of the mind that this will probably continue for a very long time and that we'll need boosters. I wear masks indoors, 99% of the time anyway, ate at a dine-in restaurant with my parents today for the first time in what 14 months? That was a nice experience to have again, and obviously we didn't wear masks. Our family's habits will definitely change for a very long time, masks indoors, hand sanitizer, etc. Everyone will have to decide on their own habits, whether it be forming new ones or dropping back into old ones.
I don't think it's about people having good reasons or bad reasons for getting vaccinated. I know what my reading, viewing, and experience has led me to do. All I need to know. Their reasons are their reasons whether I agree with them or not.
Employers being able to require vaccinations is a sticky wicket. We've never required flu vaccines or any other health care requirement for employment or continued employment. In fact, there are VERY specific rules against discussing any health related issue by employers (HIPAA) without an employees consent. I don't know what the answer to that problem is, but I assume the Supreme Court will rule on it as Houston is providing case law with one of its hospital's staff. Until then... we wait. I support business' right to hire/operate in the way they see fit, but it would be very easy to then discriminate for other health reasons too at that point (obesity, disability, etc). Our society is full of slippery slopes and a certain level of regulation is usually required.
