I'm honored to see that someone is using my photo of removing the crank pulley bolt.

Just to be clear though, in that pic, it is the AC condenser that you see at the front (bottom of pic). The radiator has been removed, along with the clutch fan and shroud, of course.

I'll add that my clutch fan is original at almost 200k miles, and working very well and quietly. If I had one that felt smooth and tight, but was loud, I'd first try to replace the silicone oil in it. They are very simple devices, and unless the bearings wear out, or seals fail and can't hold the oil in, should be repairable. But that's me - I prefer to repair quality things rather than replacing them, maybe even when it is not cost effective.
