The ibus dev says the oil temp comes from the TÖNS which is on the bottom of the oil pan. I believe the signal routes through the LCM. Mine didn't work with my original LCMIII or the replacement LCMIV I put in a few years ago.

I've ordered a new Hella TÖNS to swap in.
