No issues, if it's live when you want it to be... I run the kids' TVs off the cigar lighter wiring in the central armrest (they have inline fuses!)
That connector would have gone to the amp in the left side wall of the trunk, below/ in front of the CD player. I spent quite a bit of time with those puppies
