This is the continuing story of the "Peyton Place" car. There was a 3K RMP limit for the first 500 miles and we were adhering to a limited rev rule until we had 1K miles on the engine. We are now somewhere around 700 miles due to so many other problems post rebuilt engine install.
The transfer box has around 71K miles on it and has been driven moderately by my wife for most of the time since we bought it in 2018.
There were zero problems with anything mechanical prior to the ill fated gaskets update last November that resulted in a blown engine. It sat from November until late April or early May before we got it back with the rebuilt engine.
It is now going into a local BMW specialist indy for diagnosis and then we'll decide on the repair process. No check engine light just the code revealed by the Foxwell 510.
