As DKL stated, you have a fixed power split.

DSC then brakes the wheels that are out of line, until they regain traction.

I think though that if DSC brakes a wheel, doesn't it give the other wheel on the same axle more power? So if it brakes the right wheel, the left one gets more power? Maybe X5's don't have rear differentials... hmmm
