I have my 540i6 sitting next to the iS in the garage awaiting the same surgery. Now that I've been thoroughly abused by the iS, the 5 should be a walk in the park. It's really not a difficult job to do, physically it's easier than doing a timing belt on Z32 but the precision with which one must operate is what makes this an advanced level activity.
