While I'm not a proponent of throwing parts at a problem, considering this valve is a frequent issue with a whole range of models, and is cheap, I would buy a replacement and remove the old one to inspect. He can also check voltages at the connector.

Mine had one solenoid that was completely corroded.

Swapping this valve took me less than 30 minutes - I had never done it before...
