The engine runs normal temp. When checking the data stream on my iCarsoft, the Voltage, temperature sensor, engine outlet is always 0 volts. I need to check if the fan runs by hot wiring, but could this be the engine temp sensor is bad? And where might that sensor be located . I also always see the Duty cycle for the electric fan stays constant at 8%. Curious for a fan that never operations. Any help here appreciated at I continue to diagnose. I just didnt want to replace the fan assemble if its a sensor or actuator that is really the problem.

Activate your electric fan via INPA or scanner (if it's capable). You can't Hotwire a PWM fan. There are 3 wires at the connector. Two large are power and ground (brown is ground). The small wire is the signal wire. You should get full battery voltage between the hot and ground at all times (even with key off). The signal wire voltage will vary with the duty cycle.
One way you can check the fan is to disconnect the coolant output sensor located on the passenger side lower radiator hose. That should kick your fan on to full speed.
If you're not getting voltage to the main electrical supply at the connector, check your 50Amp fuses ...I believe its fuse 65...but double check. Its in the glovebox fuse block.
