As I understand it the popping noise is only under acceleration. If that is the only time you hear the noise I would check the sway bar links and bushings, and the struts. And, I would do a complete check of the front suspension. Assuming you don't have a lift I would take it to shop that can do so and then they can check the components that need to be loaded or not loaded to do the troubleshooting.
