Alternator after fixing all the oil leaks

After I did the valve cover gasket and timing cover gasket on my 4.8i E70, I decided to take the alternator out to see how much damage the oil leak has done to it. Here are some pictures. There is oil pretty much everywhere except the voltage regulator(luckly)

Wondering what others have done after fixing the oil leak?

Since the oil on the copper winding isn't (just a guess) going to do any damages, should I just wipe off wherever I can and leave it alone or do a thorough cleaning with some kind of electrical part cleaner like "CRC Lectra-motive" ?
