Your M3 should be able to run with an STI, mine did and all I had was an exhaust. A guy I know has a STI and we used to mess around every day on the way to work.

I think its funny that the WRX owners (non-STI) are suprised that their 227hp rides can't hang with a 300hp plus vehicle...not to mention the torque 320ftlbs+ compared to their 214. I'm a little suprised though that this guy says he lost off the line, that is the place the WRX should have been faster.
