after enjoying a few glorious drives without the sensation of driving a vacuum cleaner I guess it was inevitable something would go wrong

on the highway I got a screeching noise and a big blue cloud behind me... pulled over and found the fan was completely off the axle. First i thought the mechanic put it on wrong, but after further inspection I saw the belt had been shredded.





turns out the water pump is seized, a small weep rusted the bearing I think. According to the maintenance log I have it was replaced 60k km ago... guess they don't live very long?
