Also remember that within the system controls is vent temp control. You can adjust the vent air to be as cool as possible or as warm as possible. Many people keep these setting for all vents to be mid temp or even warm which ends up defeating the auto controls as it is a separate control. Go into the settings menu and adjust this to as cool as possible for driver and passenger and see if things improve.
During the summer we exceed 110 on a regular basis and I keep my A/C set on auto for 68 without any issue cooling the interior or losing any airflow with the rear fan on high too!
