I have never seen an issue like this before but low and behold, this worked a treat.

This was particularly problematic for me as the motor in the column likes to get stuck. In fact, one of the reasons the car was selling cheap was the steering wheel was "stuck" in the lowest position but I was fortunately able to get it back up playing around with the mechanism. However, when it goes back down it wants to stick again, so I *REALLY* needed this to go away.

But yeah, bingo! I used the seat memory to interrupt the wheel going down, then rolled the window down, locked and unlocked the car, and it hasn't moved again!
