Adapter plates exist that have 74.1mm on the hub side and 72.6mm on the wheel side. They are 20mm wide. You need longer wheel bolts of course but that should not be a deal breaker. (on Ebay longer bolts $3/pc and $30 per pair of plates, spend $120, wait 3 days and Bob's your uncle... :-)
I ran 87s on my E70 for a few months with these plates mounted and it looked great.
