The only disdain I have for Republicans I have for democrats as well.
That is the lack of bipartisan thinking. Unless the President, and both houses are dominated by one party or the other nothing gets done. Regardless of the balance there are too many that do nothing other than trash talk the other party. IMO, the Republicans have been the most vicious and off the wall but there are some Democrats that certainly contribute. If we sit in the same room to find a decision we can both support the chance that will happen when we have been calling each other names or worse is, as they say- slim to none and Slim left town. And if there is outside pressure from other members of either party that are ready to take our heads off if we don't just reject everything the other suggests, nothing usually gets done. I think it was 18 Republicans that broke rank and voted for the infrastructure bill. Directly after a group of republicans wanted them ousted. There will be attempts to end their careers for standing up for how their constituents wanted them to vote.
