I bit the bullet and ordered a bunch of parts for the X:


All the power steering hoses ($$$) which are leaking

Oil filter housing gasket and VANOS oil line, also leaking

Spark plugs and oil filter

German Auto Solutions DISA repair/upgrade kit


I say this a lot but we were hoping to get four years of reliable use out of this old BMW. We are 5.5 years in now, and I like this car a lot more than I thought I would. So we are committing to keep it running well for a bit longer. Our family car got into a fender bender a few weeks ago, so we are going to take this on a 1,000 mile road trip for the holiday as well.



Anyone have any specific experience with the GAS DISA repair kit? It seems like a good product/upgrade.
