Take the whole part off to get to it from the inside. I think some very good tape like gorilla tape or T-Rex will get it fully operational for at least a couple years (I wouldn't try to operate when it's 150°F in the car) |

With the part number, I was able to find some used or non OEM variants around here for 40-60ish$, which I would still find reasonable. But tbh it really does sound like quite a PITA to take it apart to just get to it. I‘ll try to find some guides or videos on it to determine if it’s really worth the time.
