Has anyone successfully repaired the lid cover on the CD/cassette deck? The mechanism is perfect, but the wood grain cover fell off. The plastic rivets broke off. I've considered glue or 3M VHB double sided sticky tape.

To work on older BMWs, a knowledge of plastics is mandatory!
