The Perillis are rated a little meh for Winter/Snow Performance, important in Canada I'm guessing. Bridgestone and Michelins seem to get good reviews.
I usually stick with Continentals. The
ExtremeContact DWS and the
CrossContact LX25 are both available in your size and price range. Both get great reviews.
