I have a K-line (K-can) cable already, with pins 7 & 8 bridged. Supposedly, E-53's (up to 2008?) use K-line (K-can) not D-line (D-can), from what I've read. The circled "E-series Cars" in your attachment says D-can.

I got the cable that has the "switch" for pins 7&8. Just like this one:

At any rate, I think your cable you already have should be fine.

Just like andrew is saying, those are going to be most likely unrelated to the cluster swap--barring the red "tamper" dot.

For my trifecta issue, I had to get my Bosch ABS/DSC module rebuilt because my left front wheel speed sensor was intermittent. Then my SAS had worn brushes (very common) that was causing implausibility faults with steering angle. I couldn't read those codes with just a regular OBD scanner. Hence, INPA.
