The only reason to delay is waiting for the parts and coordinating the repair with other items that might be in the queue.

My point in that it's not "urgent" is that literately it's not urgent.

3mm is a very nice alert to geterdone but you can visually inspect the pads to confirm the other three aren't more worn out than the pad with the sensor, then make an informed choice if you need to use a different car while waiting for the parts.

Most often you have a good 1000 miles as I believe BMW programs into the wear pad alert (if you bring up the lifespan alert you'll see 1000 miles left).
