oddly I find myself here after blowing my rear diff on my12 x5m, it has around 700hp, I also happen to have a diesel clone sitting in my shop right now... its been here for two years, covid happened and farm took over, its going to have the same problems.
ive always known it wont be my M but have always known its all interchangeable, my m has 79k on it now.
the 35 can absolutely put down 700wtq, these rear ends are shit though.
so are the drive axles, I blew up one when I got home with a fresh engine in the M.
bmw knows it too, they are under built for their service or happy right footers like myself.
all the x5's had recalls for one drive shaft or their whatever customer care garbage, either way they are under built.
i found this thread looking for rear diff upgrades, while this counts for you... I think its gonna at one point let go.
cool build, i am gonna stock some replacement parts.

curious if you got it done, I am also curious about the difference?
