maybe I never noticed the buzzer before?

I just finished installing the "seat occupancy mat emulator" that you recommended to me; it was a bit difficult to squeeze myself into a position where I could see what I was doing (septuagenarian, 220+lbs, bad back, bad knees...the usual excuses), but it's done.

But, after your comment above, I wondered if I was missing a "dashboard buzzer", so I re-inserted the key, jiggled it a bit, and the buzzer sounded-off (door was open). I wonder if it has been active all along, and just needed a jiggle to set off, or has it been buzzing all along. I very rarely open the door without the key in my hand, and if I'm working on the truck, then it doesn't matter.
