What else would we drive, anyway?
We have a much bigger choice of SAVs here in the UAE than I would in the UK and still; either you go cheaper (VW Tuareg, Ford Explorer, Toyota Fortuner, Chevy Traverse etc.) which feel nasty inside, or you're talking Cayenne or one of the Audi Qs which would just be horrific to maintain, from what I've heard.
The E53 4.8 is the legendary mould-breaker of very fast SAVs, and the crash protection and load carrying is still the best. I couldn't get a Christmas tree or a Pottery Barn bookcase into anything as luxurious, and still get 0-60 in 6 seconds on my budget
