As always, this trip started out with a visit to the shop to see what I 'needed' or what's worn out since the LAST visit. I don't know just yet when that was or what it was for.. Oh wait! Bad coils (2). They just did all 8 and plugs. That was last October, IIRC. So, given that the tires from last year also had ab 16k miles on them (a WAG), so I was anxious to see what was needed. Tires were up!
Then, of course, Texarkana kept me from a nice, sweeping tour of the southern US, (including some new found friends in Baton Rouge, LA) by boning me back home before a work trip to Florida.

That was a fine couple of days, as it allowed me to screw with LED interior lights, the Android radio, and all kinds of things pre-trip. I even *tried* to install some play pretties on the M2, but alas, my drill and my jack do not match.

So, picking the story back up, the day after my girls arrived from THE Republic of Texas, I was on my way South to Florida for fun and work. I am fortunate to have checked for places to stay at a stop in SOmewhere, Alabama. It has been Spring Break and the hotels are bustling with folks looking to make up for the last 2 years. I stayed a night in *glorious* Albany, GA. It was nice, but really.. one Hotel looks exactly the same as another after some time. Here's the mark we posted a little over a month ago on Feb 22:

Annnd then just last week somewhere in Florida:

Florida was a WELCOME change to what I left behind!

So, I was planning to stop in with my brother and his family this week, but my youngest nephew told me the story of his abandoned, still wrecked truck that remained in Dandridge, TN (for you HeeHaw fans, "SallllUTTE!) I will admit a healthy buzz made it easy to offer taking him to pick it up.

After all, We'd be within a day long drive of home, OR (and this is important)- OR, I could stop by the bike shop in Andersen, SC that I so adore. After checking that the shop would be open, I jetted off from Dandridge to SC. Not a bad trip, except for construction. But still.. just shy of 4 hours is like a drive to work for me.
And so, on the way to perform my Uncle duties, we crossed the next little (hehehehe) milestone.. .

Tomorrow very well *could* be home. Or, I've a littany of friends between Western SC and the rest, so I very well COULD get distracted and stay again on Sat night.

I do need to be home on Sunday tho. It'll be the 1st time I've sifted through parts for the E38, the M2, and (stay tuned) THIS E53.
