My info is from an owner of transmission shop that does tons of BMW repairs. His input was there is no such thing as lifetime trans fluid. Also there is no reason to use other than OE fluid. I was there to get his advice about changing the 5 speed out for a 6 speed to increase performance. He convinced me that was a bad idea.
