I followed the ZF procedure, shifting through the gears and what not. The trans lost a lot of fluid as the box sat open over night with the mechatronics out. I filled more than FCP even supplies with their kit. Perhaps it was still not enough, as the torque converter drained/filled (?) as well as the rest of the fluid passages.
My apologizes if my logic is wrong here; I do not quite understand the principles of how a torque converter functions.
