I'm looking at eBay listings and I'm seeing white, blue and black connectors. RealOEM says its one PN for all E70 and E71, but I'm still a little wary. I have an 04/10 build X6 with the red alcantara. I'm indifferent on the cushion as I need to reupholster after swapping the sensor itself.

You are setting yourself up for a ton of work. Just buy the seat belt extenders from Amazon for like $12 and problem goes away. Just my 2c.
