Installed the lift strut, bracket, and hardware on the spare tire cover on our 2010 35d because I got tired of holding it with my head or prop rod when servicing the battery... Very worthwhile QoL upgrade for ~$40 I think it was.

Not sure why some E70s came with them from factory and others didn't. Probably bean counters got involved.
