Ok fella , mechanic probably did the minimum when I took it in, i asked for the manifold to be replaced and a cv boot, and also did mention that was low on boost and he said he would check the hoses etc...i guess after all the digging and seeing there is only one clip to remove so hose to egr can be released i can check myself...just got a bit lost, thought disabling so to speak the egr valve by blocking the vacum hose from the pressure converter/actuator to it .....resulting in no change in my boost meant the egr side of things is the issue....
