hi all

i have a X5 2009 diesel E70
since a month ago it wont go into Sport mode or manual
it drives in D also reverse and park in no problem

the code it says is :A82E

its the GWS thats all i can find on it , i have bought a used one that i have seen it works , but when i install it in my X5 it still aint working, i have watched youtube of people just replacing them and it works fine in the vids
but my question is : does the GWS needs to be programmed by the stealership ?

or could it be something else
