Yes, they are great pads! I used them with slotted only rotors, and was blown away with the braking!

On my E53, between the sound of the unmuffled blower, the 8lb flywheel and all of its sound emission, and my exhaust, I doubt the brake noise will be an issue.

My X is loud, and I don’t mean exhaust only. At idle even, it’s noisy. It would be worth it for the braking though.

But, call it inflation or times have changed. The best price I can find for the rotors, is $195 pop! I guess a $110 a rotor is history.
