Good Morning, I solved the problem...
I keep getting error messages when I try and search this site.
I remember seeing a post about how to do this. I had to do a Google search that aimed me back to the X5 Outpost thread I was looking for...
I put my 3 ton long reach floor jack under the rear differential with a 2x6 and slowly lowered the car on it's wheels. Articulating the level sensors activated the air pump and reinflated the rear air suspension.
I now have a well behaved X5 with no unauthorized lane changes anticipated. At 185K miles I'm sure it was past due for the refresh. Now on to rear brakes...
