How about some positive comments sometimes, not what somebody has in your opinion potentially done, or gotten wrong. And if I realize by trial and error that I have made a mistake, I will gladly go and correct the record. But not because bc says so, but because I have gained personal knowledge to the contrary.

The condescending posts are certainly not limited to the political section of the forum. I just stopped paying attention in most circumstances. There are one or two "know-it-all(s)" on literally every forum.
