A weird thing that happened while doing this testing is when I had the multimeter plugged into pin 4 but not plugged back into the rain sensor I was testing the voltage and ground on the door hinge - I put the wipers into interval mode as it usually wipers every 20 secs, after 20 secs it would wipe and then continue wiping non-stop while i was touching the ground on the door hinge. Once I removed the ground from the door hinge it would stop constantly wiping and revert to wiping every 20 second.
