Correct, that will work fine. Did you have to code out cold check monitoring for the halos? Your assumption as to why I ran mine outside the access housing was correct. I have mine wired to a relay for ACC +12v and also to the cabin lighting so the halos fade on when you unlock the car.

Sorry I didn't respond, computer was down for awhile (NVME drive died) and then it took awhile to remember the password.
