Hmmmm.... The change in my 4.8 was signficantly louder, but without any tinny artifacts or raspiness. So loud, in fact, that I was bracing myself for blowing the lid off my underground upgrade club, and having to deal with the missus!

I know it's not a fair comparison, but I don't recall hearing 'raspy' as part of anybody's descriptions from the 4.4 x-pipe installs....
