Hello all!


I've purchased a newer Hizpo headunit to replace my slow aftermarket Seicane and am awaiting it's arrival. My X5 had DSP, with Nav, so I had to run the 6m extension cable to the trunk. Everything has been working fine, besides the occasional hiccup with the I-Bus app and the unit just freezing completely, so I'm looking forward to seeing the capability of this new Hizpo. Its an 8-core with 4gb ddr4 memory, so here's hoping its going to be a good upgrade.



The instructions they provided for my new unit state that I don't need to use the 6m extension cable, and that they have it setup to plug into the Blue nav connector as shown in the photo. I'd like to know how this will establish a connection with the DSP to make it work correctly. If anyone has a diagram for the blue nav connector, and could share it, i'd appreciate it. I know the blue plug has to at least have a switched power and the ibus line and audio lines for the tape player.


My understanding is that I will still need to use the I-Bus adapter and app, but I'm very confused on how their wiring will work with my current setup.

When I bought the Seicane, I removed the OEM radio, nav display, and CD changer, and in my haste to make back the money I had spent on my new unit, I sold them all, and no longer have any of the OEM radio equipment. The blue plug in the back of the car is no longer connected to anything, so I'm wondering how this setup will even work. If anyone has any insight, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks!
