Thanks for the recommendation to make my own thread about my aftermarket radio install. I've learned so much scouring Xoutpost for help with wiring and general information, so it only seems fitting to see if i can provide some help for those looking to install one. Thank you to all who come onto this forum to help people out. You are the true heroes! Here's a brief rundown, as I've got it working, and I will start compiling a thread for my install.

The seller states it's plug and play, but lo' and behold it is not, at least in my case. May be different for other models. The unit can receive power from pin 7 on the blue connector, but that's it really. It has the connection for the I-Bus and the tape audio cables as well in that plug, but they won't be utilized. You still need to have the I-BUS adapter and app if you have the DSP amp in your car, as it is needed to send the signal to the amp to activate and stay on, and you will still need the 6m extension cable to hook up the speakers to the head unit. It will need to be rewired at the dash with a BMW metra harness. I purchased this one:

Nothing changed with the I-BUS adapter really, as it was already wired to work correctly. Simply plug in the USB to the headunit, and install and activate the app and you're good to go, after setting everything back up settings-wise of course. Anyway. I'll start my own detailed thread on how my install went, and see if I can provide anymore info to those looking for help with these newer units. Thanks!
