It is what it is for the time it is. And that's the best part. It lives long after the thing leaves.
Forgive me. I have recently found deep reflection in the loss this past month of my mother. So many of her passions for the car will last until well after me. Of course, that's including those memories of her in a '77 911 (BRIGHT yellow on Porsche plaid) and *both* of the E23's mentioned above. She nearly lost her license in the 911.
Much of the reason I'm here as an enthusiast is because she was. The last time a few years back that she heard startup for the E53 with no cats, she smiled.. and the one thing her disease allowed her to smile, say and giggle for that day was...
"Vroom!"
This is a nut proud not to fall too far from its tree.

Sorry to hear about your mom, just remember her love of cars was something extra she left you over and above her love for you.
