When the handle malfunctions in the way you describe it usually means it will get warm (laws of physics dictate *something* is for sure getting warm. I don't know if it will get warm enough to feel but it will show up on an IR camera is it's enough for high drain warning.

Appreciate the suggestion, I don't have an IR Camera or Temp Gun, but will definitely go out to buy one today, good to have for this and grilling. I certainly cant tell a temp difference by touch between any of the handles. Will get back tomorrow once I get the temp gun
