Once the rear nut is removed, it can normally be pulled forward - you'll have to remove the radiator fan shroud to get enough clearance to do this (BTDT).
In your case it seems like the shaft is jammed in there. You may need to remove (and possibly replace) the entire tensioner assembly (#3) after removing the mounting bolts (#1).
