That oil pan is a monster! I did my wife's E83 (w/N52) gasket a couple years ago. One difference I discovered on this one.... the danged dipstick (N52 doesn't have one). I just assumed the pan would slip off that dipstick tube, but NOOOOOOOO! I fought it for awhile and finally got the dipstick out and the oil pan pretty much fell to the ground!

I finished this job up a few days ago (was in no hurry) and finally started it up and drove it yesterday. So nice to have that nasty vibration at idle gone. With the new engine mounts, it's smooth as can be.
