Its possible. The stupid thing keeps the battery half dead all the time so anything has got to be an improvement in battery life. Its got to be the dumbest charge control system known to man.
I monitored it for a few months after unplugging the thing to make sure it wasn't going to fry the battery. Seems to be working great. Also I can leave it off the charger if I want now for weeks at a time since the battery is ACTUALLY charged from driving it.
