Caution on fully charging bmw e70 battery

Its sets a code but you won't see it unless you use a scan tool or have a p3 meter. My p3 meter I use to monitor water temps shows codes when you first crank up but otherwise you won't know its been done.


Runs 14.1 volts all the time except on long trips or idling a long time (waiting on wife when I play chauffeur) and then it creeps down to 13.8 at the lowest. Usually has to run at least an hour to get down to 13.8.


Ive been running it this way for 8 months or so.



Power windows are faster and it even seems to have more power (illusion probably) but it just works better.


Crappy design but easy fix.
To clarify, did you disable the Intelligent Battery Sensor by just bypassing the device mounted on the negative battery terminal? Thx
