Sort of figured it would ignite the cooling wars again too. Which Tstat are you using? I’m putting way too much thought into coolant system mods personally. ECS sells a 90 deg tstat that has a plug for the MAP function, although I don’t know if it is a MAP functioning tstat or just a built in resistor. Comments section on the ECS site says it tends to run the M62 at 100 to 105 deg for most.
I wish I could find something objective on the differences in operating temps and coolant capabilities between a single pass radiator (OE e53) and a triple pass radiator like the CSF M5 drop in all aluminum piece. I’ve read 10 to 15 deg more efficient for a triple pass over a single pass, but that was just something random on line.
