The design is such that during low power the higher temp makes for lower friction and the rate of heat created vs. removed is balanced and keeps the inner engine parts very similar temps.

When the demand rises the lower coolant temp pulls heat out faster and also matches the higher heat generation. What I've noticed is that the oil temp stays the same during the power fluctuations so the programming does it's job.

4% Change in pressure over that temp range. Not enough to be concerned with special low pressure cap. I highly highly recommend using bimmerlink to track engine values realtime.
